We created this website to share the beauty of Texas prairie plants and how they can be used in neighborhood landscapes. Plants that are well adapted to our Texas ecoregion will be featured here too.

There are a growing number of local nurseries and online resources for plants and seeds with expert information on how to choose and grow native and well adapted plants for your home landscape. The ones we recommend are listed on the Native Resources page. Our recommendations are based on our experiences as their customers.
The website is a work in progress. Please pardon our changes as we try to present the information as a helpful gardening experience for the Texas Blackland Prairie ecoregion, USDA Hardiness Zone 8a.
